Recreation Lanes In-House Awards

All series awards are based on a 3-game series. If you bowl only 2 games per week, your series will be figured using 2 games from one week and the first game from the next week.

Makeup and pre-bowl scores count toward USBC awards, but not toward the Year-to-Date High Score Board.

All awards begin by using bowler's entering average (final average from this league's previous season).

For NEW Bowlers: Average is calculated after their 4th week of bowling. If you are returning, but changed leagues, you will follow the new bowler rule.

Achievement Points

Bowlers will earn 1 ACHIEVEMENT POINT for each 10 pins over their average they bowl in one game.

IN-HOUSE AWARDS

Free Game of Bowling Achievement

For each 10 points earned, they will receive an “Achievement”, at which time they will receive a pass for one free game of bowling.

This is an ongoing recognition throughout the year for each “Achievement” earned. There are no limits to the number of Achievements a youth bowler may earn during the season.

Recreation Lanes provides a weekly and a year-to-date honor board for our youth bowlers located on the South wall. It is divided into 7 average divisions and includes bowlers from all of our youth leagues combined.

Once displayed on the Weekly board, bowlers will be presented their certificates the following week, unless it qualifies as the Year-to-date High Score in their average division, at which time it will be moved to the Year-To-Date Display where it will remain until it is bumped off by another bowler in their division.

Earning USBC Youth awards is simple. Bowl a score higher than your average, earn that award. Awards are not retroactive, so if you bowl and receive a higher emblem and have not earned the lower-scored emblem, you will not be eligible to receive it at a later date.
